A workshop is being held to help businesses get the most out of technology and innovation.

Small manufacturing and engineering businesses are being encouraged to attend the specialised Digital Marketing Workshop being organised by Arch.

The iNorthumberland Business Support Programme is running a free digital marketing workshop between 9.30am and 4pm on Friday, November 6, at Ashington Workspace, Lintonville Parkway, Ashington.

The training is solely focused on how the manufacturing and engineering sector can use digital marketing to benefit their business.

Attendees will hear from digital experts on how they can create a customer attracting digital strategy, digital growth plans, managing digital transformation and disruption, understand and implement digital strategies and look at new markets for their products.

They will also highlight the importance of tools such as CRM, email, online PR, video and social media. The workshop will also include peer group discussions and case examples as well as offering after session support.

Coun Dave Ledger, Arch chair and deputy leader of Northumberland County Council, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for manufacturing and engineering businesses to explore digital training.

“Social media, search engine optimisation (SEO) and cloud technologies are here to stay and therefore I would urge businesses to take advantage of this fully funded offer.”
