Two feathered friend inspired workshops marking the Chinese New Year of the Rooster will take place in south east Northumberland during half term.

As part of the Books and Art programme of free holiday sessions, illustration artist Helen Turner will work with groups of children to help them make colourful creations inspired by Picasso’s 1938 Rooster painting.

She will be at Bedlington Library between 10.30am and noon and Cramlington Library from 2.30pm to 4pm on Monday, February 20.

Numbers are limited – parents can book a place or places by calling 01670 620250.

They can also do so online at (type Helen Turner in the search box).
