Youngsters in the county have been celebrating Chinese new year with a host of activities.
The first floor of Central Arcade in Ashington was taken over with an Oriental theme as the new year was brought in by a traditional Lion Dance.
The event was planned by creative apprentices at Ashington Community Development Trust, Rebecca Flynn and Katie Thomson.
Trust manager Janet Cresswell said: “We intend this artistic and cultural event to be the first of many.
“Rebecca and Katie have worked very hard to get this event off the ground, and their success has been proved by the number of people coming through the doors to take part.”
There are several events planned at Central Arcade, which formerly belonged to the Co-operative Society, including curiosity craft fairs.
Janet added: “This is a fantastic space for the community to use and it was good to see the celebrations so well supported.”
