Students from Bedlington have led a county-wide tournament as part of the 2013 Northumberland School Games.
The Bedlingtonshire Community High School students were responsible for leading and officiating the entire football tournament with more than 300 participants from Year 4 to Year 10.
Headteacher Stephen Griffiths said: “To see our students confidently and effectively leading other groups of younger students like this is inspiring.
“Ours students were not only outstanding ambassadors for the high school, but also inspirational role models for all of the participants involved.”
Paul Woodall, chair of the competition and work force group for the Northumberland School Games, added: “The students were all absolutely superb and were a credit to the school.
“Many staff from the competing schools went out of their way to express how well they thought the Young Leaders had done.”
