COUNCIL: Walk streets to see needs

County Hall in Morpeth.

I have read with interest letters on council spending and cut backs, the amount spent on wages, and the new buildings and offices that need to be built to house these people.

Look at the state of the roads, pot holes and lack of road markings, and the funding that has been taken away from our schools, NHS, nursing homes and care in our community for people that need it most, while councillors find ways of spending our money on such things as a new headquarters, or spending thousands on a new square in Cramlington that no one wants.

Councils should take a good look around, walk the streets and see what is really needed for the people and how best to spend our tax money.
