EUROPE: In interest of balance

In the interests of balanced debate, I’d like to responded directly to Mr Thompson’s correspondence citing why we must vote to remain part of the European Union on June 23, (News Post Leader, May 19).

For those of you still undecided, and those who believe the rhetoric from the remain camp, I would strongly urge you to read the recently published book written by Daniel Hannan entitled ‘Why Vote Leave’.

So who is Daniel Hannan? Well he is an MEP, and having represented and looked after our best interests in Brussels for over 17 years, he knows a thing or two about how it all works, or doesn’t as the case may be, and actually fails us dismally.

For any of you who have found the remain campaign’s reasoning ambiguous, or at the least cloudy, Mr Hannan’s book is a simple read and not the embittered diatribe of someone who has fallen out of favour with the union.

Mr Hannon sets out the irrefutable facts, leaving out any ambiguity. All in the interests of balance.
