KNITTING: Kindness put to good use

editorial image

A lady recently came to my door and said she had been told that I knitted for charity so here is a bag of wool.

I opened the bag and there were about 40gx25g of knitting wool inside – a knitter’s paradise.

I was delighted, amazed and speechless. I didn’t even ask her name.

It is true that I have knitted for charity for many years and if the lady in question would like to see what I am knitting with her wool, I would be very pleased indeed.

At the moment, I knit muffs for Mind Active, which supplies them to people with dementia. I also knit for the ‘Fish and Chip’ babies in Africa.

I will be delighted if you print this as I have no other means of contacting this very kind lady.
