I WOULD like to thank everyone who participated and supported The Michelle School Of Dance in Ellington Christmas charity dance shows.

We raised £2,116, which is being split between two local charities – ENT department Freeman Hospital and Cerebra based in Newcastle.

Earlier in the year the dance school raised more than £2,000 for St Oswald’s Hospice.

The children performed The Night Before Christmas and more than 70 young people put on three shows at Newbiggin Sports Centre at the end of November.

The pupils attend dance classes at Ellington Institute and are taught dance through the British Theatre Dance Association, which is a registered dance organisation and the examinations they achieve are world recognised.
