PASTORS: Humbled by their help

We attended a meeting at the WI, Newbiggin by the Sea, where a talk was given by a member of the Whitley Bay Street Pastors.

As it progressed, we were very humbled and respectful of what they are about.

Being at the forefront of teenage binge drinking in Newcastle and Northumberland, the pastors help these youngsters with whatever is needed and get them back to their families.

The incidents of high intoxication made our hair stand on end, hearing about the behaviour while under the influence.

The police, ambulance and NHS work with the pastors and these Christian fellows help save these young members of the public (and older) from harm.

The pastors save our economy a great deal of money by their selfless acts. What would happen if they were not involved? I shudder to think.

All power to these wonderful, kind, good people, helping when people are vulnerable under the influence of alcohol.

Thank you all for being you.
