WAR: Monument destruction

I write with reference to a recent topic on a popular morning television programme, is knocking down/bombing national ancient monuments a war crime?

There is only one positive argument to this discussion – it is a war crime.

Because a deliberate assertive attempt has been made to eradicate a country’s past history, whether it is an idea, person, party, country, race, religion, or its heritage and customs identity.

If it has a good heritage then it should remain for prosperity, a celebration of reasoning, philosophy and diplomacy.

A monument can be a thing of great ethos, of value to future generations.

The perpetrators don’t seem to want democracy, only to dictate and impose secular thinking.

As wars have shown, bad thinking comes to an end.
