Ashington seconds progressed to the B1 League Cup final after overcoming Tynedale at home in the semi-final.
The final will be played on Friday (July 25) at Ashington’s Langwell Crescent against Swalwell at 6pm, a repeat of the first team cup final three weeks ago which was won by the Tynesiders.
Ashington skipper Doug Potts said: “We’re all looking forward to it, and it should be a close and competitive game.
“Swalwell will come with a good strong side and I’m certain we will be trying our best to avenge the first team final defeat.”
Ashington squad: D Potts, McCarthy, M Potts, Sharkey, Nichol, Martin Thewlis, Michael Thewlis, Smith, A Storey, Robinson, Dunn, Ross.
In the semi-final Ashington batted first and posted 146-5, and in reply Tynedale managed 128-7, falling short by 18 runs.
