Blyth first XI went down by 34 runs at Clara Vale on Saturday.
The visitors won the toss and put the home side in, with Iqbal and Coulson opening the batting.
But the pair brought up a 50 partnership in only the fifth over before Kemp made a breakthrough in ninth with the score on 55, when Dent caught Iqbal for 50 off 30 balls.
With five further runs added, Ebdale trapped Coulson lbw before Mirza and Khan slowly moved the score to 80.
With the score on 95, Blyth skipper Lawrence had Mirza out lbw for 17.
Saeed and Khan took the score to 120 when Singh had Saeed caught by Dent for 12.
The Blyth spinners were now getting on top of the batting and Lawrence struck twice in his sixth over. Firstly, he trapped Ahmed lbw for four, then Amin was cleaned bowled.
R Mohammed was bowled by Singh for three and in his next ball he sent Scott back for a golden duck.
Lawrence sent S Mohammed back caught by Ebdale for six before Capreshan was out lbw to Singh for five to close the innings. Khan finished 51 not out as Clara Vale totalled 164.
Blyth bowling figures were A Kemp 1-46, D Ebdale 1-32, S Singh 4-38 and M Lawrence 4-45.
Blyth’s reply began with Dent and Purma, and the score was on 17 when Dent gave a return catch to Mohammed and went for seven.
Purma followed next over when Coulson caught him for one off Iqbal.
Clark and Smith slowly pushed the score along for the next ten overs with Smith the main scorer.
Amin had come on to replace Iqbal and with 40 runs added Clark was bowled by R Mohammed for six. Two runs later Smith was caught by Scott off Mohammed for 28.
Lawrence and Quinn then put together a good stand with the former in full flow.
But the home side’s Iqbal bowled Quinn for four after a 51-run fifth wicket partnership with Lawrence.
From this point Blyth collapsed. Lawrence was bowled for 43, Roberts was caught and bowled by Iqbal for four, Singh also went caught and bowled by R Mohammed for four, Walker eased the score past a second batting point before he was caught by Khan off S Mohammed for five and Ebdale remained nought not out.
Clara Vale’s bowling figures were R Mohammed 6-34, N Iqbal 3-43, S Amin 0-31 and S Mohammed 1-18.

On Saturday Blyth first XI are at Ashington Rugby with a 1pm start.
In midweek, Blyth reached the quarter-finals of the Thomas Wilson Cup by beating Embleton by nine wickets. They play Cramlington at home in the next round on Tuesday, June 16, with a 6pm start.
