Blyth’s second XI once again suffered a heavy defeat, this time at the hands of Blue Flames.
The home side batte forst and had three batsmen that dominated their innings.
P McKeever (52), R Chapman (56) and A Zubair (45) were the only men to find their rhythm as they totalled 177-9.
Blyth’s bowlers did not get the rub of the green with some decisions going against them.
James Stewart was the pick as he took 3-19.
Blyth’s reply got off to a bad start with four batsmen back in the pavilion with just 19 on the board.
Stewart (27) and Gill (17) dug in but found getting the ball away difficult, but they put on 48 for the fifth wicket. Young Ben Blacket with a little cameo at the end finished 13 not out as Blyth finished on 104-8.
