Adam McTaggart struck his second career century, but Bomarsund’s second team still suffered an eight-wicket against Blue Flames on Saturday.
McTaggart (101) and opening partner Neil Straker (53) produced an incredible stand of 170 before the latter was out stumped.
Chris Scott (16), Adam Gardiner (11) both contributed with the bat and made sure that the visitors managed to get up to a challenging and respectable total of 206-4.
In reply, Bomar struck early through Tom More, but Andy Wilson took control and made an unbeaten century as the runs were knocked off with over two overs remaining.
More finished with figures of 1-55 and Adam Gardiner 1-31, but the destruction caused gave the seconds very little opportunities for more.
The defeat leaves the visitors second bottom of the Northumberland Cricket League division two, now below Blue Flames, and they face the trip to the Recreation Ground to play Clara Vale second team on Saturday, June 6.
