Festival is another hit with school kids

Hundreds of pupils took part in an annual multi-skills festival over two days at Blyth Sports Centre.

A total of 360 Year 2 students from 13 schools in the Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Programme took part in a variety of activities to develop their agility, balance and co-ordination.

The children were divided in to six groups with 14 students from St Benet Biscop RC High School assisted the coaches and teachers to help run the event.

The schools who took part were Stead Lane, West End, Cambois, Bedlington Station, Horton Grange, Newsham, Malvins, St Bedes RC, Morpeth Road, Croftway, New Delaval, Choppington and Whitley Memorial.
