Blyth Rangers Deportivo Under-14s won a scrappy game at Morpeth Sporting Club Milan Under-14s with a goal in each half.
Reece Halliday opened the scoring in the 28th minute having battled for the ball before slotting it past the home keeper.
Blyth created a host of chances but were unable to increase the lead – Jack Bell going the closest but his shot came back off the post.
Bell was not to be denied, though, and following a run he placed a well hit shot into the corner to make it 2-0.
The Blyth defence led by man of the match Callum Robinson looked comfortable and kept the Morpeth attack at bay to deservedly come away with a clean sheet.
