In round two of the Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League George Davison Cup, Ashington Station Lounge and Burradon and New Fordley shared 11 goals.
In the end, visitors Burradon and New Fordley ran out 7-4 winners.
Damien Stevens led the scoring for Lounge with a hat-trick with Colin McLellend scoring their other goal. On target for Fordley were Dale Pearson (2), Scott Pocklington (2), Scott Brotherick, Graeme Cairns and Ian Lee.
Also in round two, Ashington Town Central lost 4-0 at home against Broomhill North End Trap, who had Kevin Bell, Paul Smith, Reece Ramsey and Josh Baston on target.
One quarter-final took place with Blyth Waterloo Pub beating derby rivals Newsham Victory 3-1 after extra time. Ross Gilchrist scored for Waterloo with a free kick in normal time but David Lillico replied for Vic. In extra time, Keith Woodrow and Paul Katz won it for Waterloo.
In the quarter-finals of the Saints Shield, the game between East Chevington and Spring Gardens was called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
Meanwhile in round one, Northern edged out Whitehouse in a derby 2-1 clash. Michael Freathy scored for Whitehouse with a penalty, but goals from Jonny McGurk and Richard Stobbart sealed the win for Northern.
The JD Marnock Cup tie between FC Beacon and Red Lion Bedlington was abandoned after 15 minutes with red Lion one up at the time.
The other quarter-final between Cramlington Green and High Street was called off.
In division one, Marden Residents went down 4-3 at home to Guide Post SC, with goals from Jake Gray, Andrew McLennen, Mathew Wilkinson and keeper Connor Oliver. Paul Richardson, Leeropy Odd and Phil McFarland were on target for Marden.
Next weekend sees Ashington Station Lounge in Minor Cup action with a quarter-final to at Heaton Meadowfield, kick-off 10.30am.
