Bedlington Social in Sunday Final

In the second semi-final of the David Crichton Cup in the Blyth & Wansbeck Sunday League, Newbiggin New Ship and Bedlington Social Club met again after their first attempt was abandoned.

The Bedlington side earned the right to meet East Chevington in the final with a 4-1 win. Adam Corbett scored for the New Ship and goals for the Social Club came from Andy McLellan (2), Kieran Egan and an own goal.

In round one of the George Davison Cup, Ashington RAOB won 4-1 at home against Division One side Bedlington Breakers.

The Premiership saw Blyth Town Sunday go down 2-0 against Ashington Town Hirst Ind. Division one saw Ellington Plough start their season with a 4-1 home win against Cramlington Burton House.
