Blyth Town Barca girls’ trials set to get under way

The girls of Blyth Town Barca are stepping up to nine-a-side next season and are on the lookout for new players to join them when they play in the under-13 league.

The trials will be held at Blyth Town FC on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 7pm from June 2 and anybody who wishes to attend is more than welcome.

The side welcomed six new players to their team last season after last year’s trials.

The girls enjoyed a successful league season which finished in April and are looking to build on this.

They are on tour to Blackpool to play in a national football tournament at the end of this month and are in tournaments locally in June and July.

Blyth Town have a history of providing top quality female footballers and ex-player Lucy Bronze is playing for the England women’s team in this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.
