Blyth Town Barca under-13 girls won the Blackpool Youth Football Tournament for the second season running.
Having won the cup at the under-12 stage last year, the girls were keen to return and challenge for the trophy.
They finished top of their group with four wins and a draw, scoring 17 goals and conceding just the one against Blackpool in the process.
They then played the hosts a second time in a semi-final which saw Blyth come through in a penalty shoot-out.
In a tight final against Bishop Auckland, the girls from Blyth Town took an early lead and held it until the final whistle.
Team coach Jonathan Land said: “It was a superb achievement for a team of footballing girls to win such a tournament in the style that they did, and they are looking forward to continuing their development into the new season.
“They have done their families proud and themselves proud too.”
The team is currently undergoing open training sessions and details of these can be found on their website at www.clubwebsite.co.uk/blythtownbarca
