Burradon and New Fordley into the County Cup semi-finals

In their NFA County Cup tie, Burradon and New Fordley progressed to the semi-final when they put ten past Newcastle Westfield Social Club without reply.

Prolific marksman Michael Chilton led the scoring with a hat-trick. Also on target were Andrew Purvis (2), Lee Waugh (2), Andy Wright, David Atkinson and Ryan Hutchinson.

In round one of the Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League JD Marnock Cup, Ashington White House switched their home game away to Newbiggin Bankhouse to Newbiggin Sports Centre, but it still did not prevent them from advancing to the second round with a 3-1 win.

Ross Muter scored a consolation goal for the Bankhouse while on target for White House were Craig Towert, Andrew McLennen and Gary Brotherton.

The only league game to be played saw Blyth Comrades win 4-0 at Cramlington Phoenix in the premier division with goals from Lee Scott, Antonie Ridley, Daniel Carr and Daniel Long.
