BURRADON and New Fordley’s County Cup game against Walker Willows was abandoned after 15 minutes when a player received a serious injury.
At the time, Burradon were leading 1-0 through Graeme Cairns.
In the same competition Ashington Mortimer lost 5-0 at Blakelaw Social.
In the second round of the Saints Shield, Whitley Lodge Kittiwake lost 3-1 at home to Blyth Masons Arms. Rob Herron, David Rutherford and Nick Brannighan scored for Masons and Chris Atkin for Kittiwake.
In the third round of the Alan Davison Cup, Blyth Comrades and Newbiggin went into extra time after the scores were level at 3-3 after 90 minutes.

In normal time Jonny Van Cliffe (2) and Terry Self scored for Comrades while Paul Crate, Rob Holden and Darren Burn were on target for Newbiggin.
The Ashington derby between the Grand Street and Grand was decided by penalties. Graham Todd put Grand ahead with Steven Frater equalising for Street. In the penalty shoot out Grand went through 4-2.
Another game which went to extra time saw Monkseaton Arms beat Blyth Seahorse 3-2. Craig Cook and Andrew Dodds scoring the Blyth goals.
Cramlington Phoenix pushed North Shields Gunner all the way before going down by the odd goal in five Alan Clark and Martin Jobson on target.
In division one, New Delaval and Newsham earned a point at Ashington White House in a 1-1 draw. Scoring for White House was Alan Brown, with Ian Locke replying for Newsham.
Cowpen Percy Arms beat Blyth South Beach 4-2. Percy’s goals came from Paul Cotterill and brothers Danny Vuong and Dan Hi Vuong (2). David Brown and Lee Richardson replied.
Division two saw Ashington Central go top as they beat Newsham Black Diamond 5-2. Scoring for Central was Jason Wilson (2), David Laing, Ryan Chisholm and Mark Taylor. David Brown and Jamie Harrison was on target for Diamond.
Ashington Bubbles also won at home 3-0 against New Hartley with goals for Bubbles came from Kris Allington, Steven Clark and star man Paul Archer.
West Allotment had a good 5-1 at home against Blyth Ridley Park, whose goalscorer was Mark Proctor.
Blagdon Arms lost 4-3 to Marden Residents despite goals from Karl Boughen (2), Michael Walton and Jamie Summers.
