DEFENDER Chris Carr has re-signed for Bedlington Terriers after a short spell with West Auckland Town.
Carr signed for the Durham club in the summer, but the centre back is now on his way back to Welfare Park.
Former England Under-18 international Carr original signed for Terriers from Newcastle Benfield and settled into the back line immediately.
Carr was a product of the Sunderland AFC centre of excellence before moving to the Newcastle United academy.
His list of previous clubs includes Newcastle United, Sheffield Wednesday, Queen of the South, Newcastle Blue Star and Newcastle Benfield before he had a spell at Bedlington.
The centre back will add strength and depth to Terriers’ defence, and his no-nonsense approach will be an asset for the Northumberland side.
Chairman Ronan Liddane said: “We are pleased to welcome back Chris Carr to Welfare Park, he is a player of undoubted quality and will add strength to our back line.”
“We are looking to push on this season after a good start, and it’s quality signings like this that will help us improve.”
The re-signing of Carr comes on the same day that Bedlington welcomed Irish international Alan O’Brien to Welfare Park.
