Glasper wants to make Terriers No.1 position his own

Bedlington Terriers goalkeeper Luc Glasper wants to make the number one position his own after keeping a clean sheet against title-chasing West Auckland Town.

Glasper, who made his debut for Bedlington in the 0- 0draw with league leaders West Auckland Town on Saturday, was recalled to the club following a loan spell at Alnwick Town.

He said: “Playing with Alnwick in the Northern League second [division] it’s a big step up to play in this side. I have learnt a lot, so I think it has given me experience.

“I think it is very important to make the number one position my own, I’ve waited almost a full season and this is my time, I just need to try and keep my spot now.”

Throughout the 90 minutes Glasper was called upon to make saves to keep his side in the game, and the defence showed real courage and quality when they were in the action.

Glasper added: “I think we deserved what we got out the game today, most definitely, we led from the front all the way through and we were comfortable.”
