NEW Hartley Juniors made it nine games unbeaten as they moved up to third in the Durham County Youth League with a 10-0 win over lowly Brandon United.
In one of the few games in the region to beat the weather, Hartley turned in what was probably their best performance of the season.
It was Hartley’s first ever visit to the west Durham side and Brandon did not know what hit them as Hartley went goal crazy, scoring five in each half.
Defender Josh Day got the scoring under way with winger James Job netting twice before Peter Ravenhill made it 4-0.
Just before the break Day got his second and Hartley’s fifth with a 25-yard effort.
The second half was only seconds old when Ravenhill raced through for his second of the game.
Substitute Dan Brown made a good introduction by netting twice himself to make it 8-0.
The ninth came came from man of the moment Ravenhill to complete his hat-trick to add to his winning goal last week against Benfield.
Hartley made it double figures right on full-time through Mark Heaman.
Hartley are again in league action on Saturday when Leam Rangers are the visitors with a 1.30pm kick-off.
