Jewellers sparkle in top flight debut

THE new MB Socca Leagues season kicked off in style last Thursday night at the Hirst Welfare Centre.

Base FC look back to their form of old and with a couple of new additions they took all three points with a 5-2 victory over Multiple Scoregasms.

Current champions Real Ashington just did enough to defeat promoted Sparta Hatbreath 2-1.

Division two threw up two similar names as Ashington All Stars were paired against new team Ashington Old Stars.

The new team got off to a flier as they sneaked in a 2-1 victory.

Rejoining the league are Newsham and manager Steve’s team gained a valuable 1-0 win over Red Devils.

The final game saw recently relegated The Whipping Boys earn a narrow 1-0 win over Station Boys.
