Kershaw hat-trick as Seaton Delaval take all three points

HEATON Stannington’s Dean Holmes hit the net four times in a resounding 5-2 success at Percy Main on Saturday in the Northern Alliance premier division.

The black and white’s hot shot was joined on the scoresheet by Gary Dixon, with Malcolm Morien scoring from the penalty spot and Michael Bowman adding the other for Main.

Grant Kershaw netted a hat-trick for Seaton Delaval as they took the points in a 3-0 win at Gateshead Rutherford while Ashington Colliers’ Steven Slaughter hitt a last minute winner in a 1-0 victory over Whitley Bay A.

Shankhouse’s Jordan Walsh was also a solitary scorer, hitting the winner against Hebburn Reyrolle in the 80th minute.

David Fisher grabbed both of Harraby’s goals as they won 2-0 at Walker Central while fellow Cumbrians Carlisle City continue to top the League following a 4-1 victory over Stocksfield.

Wayne Stewart shot the visitors ahead from the penalty spot, but Ian Grainger levelled two minutes later. Stuart Kilgour slotted a double and Andy Rogerson got the other for the sky blues.

Ponteland United were rocked in a 5-0 defeat at Blyth Town with goals from Danny Beresford (2), Jeff Fuller, Dean Sitch and an own goal doing the damage.

Killingworth were on top form as they won 4-1 at Murton, Anthony Burns scoring twioe with team-mates Carl Begbie and Jack Pinchin also netting. Paul Wintripp was the Murton scorer.

Wallington came from behind to win the first division top of the table clash at Cramlington Town. David Thomson shot Town ahead five minutes after the break but Jake Walton equalised and Justin Millican grabbed the winner.

Amble United are level on points at the top after Shaun Taylor and Josh Hay scored in their 2-0 win at Forest Hall.

John Pearson tucked away a penalty for Heddon but it proved only a consolation as goals from Ryan Aplin and Paul Blakes gave Newcastle East End the points and Wallsend Town’s Gary Hall hit a hat-trick in a 4-1 win at Newcastle Chemfica Independent. Sean Reid got the other with Phil Bone knocking in for Chemfica. Town’s Mike Harwood suffered a broken ankle which held the game up for 40 minutes and the management committee of the northern Football Alliance wish him a speedy recovery.

Matthew McLoughlin hit two for Wark as they overpowered Cullercoats 4-1. Matthew Blackett and mark Campbell were also celebrating with Steve Hart netting a late consolation penalty.

Darren Campbell (2), Iain Harris and Jonny Hewitt scored for Bohemians in their 4-1 win over Morpeth SC, whose scorer was Chris Musgrave.

Northbank maintained top spot in Division Two as they beat Willington Quay Saints 2-1. Mark Worrall and Nicky Routledge were their scorers with Gareth Pugh responding.

New boys Alston had Jake Shepherd, Oliver Cartwright and Joseph Wright on target as they secured their first win, 3-1 at Cramlington United, with James Harrison scoring for the home side and Whickham Lang Jacks also took their first three points in a 3-2 win over Alnwick Town Reserves. Joe Bell, Stephen Spoors and Lee Laidler the scorers.

Bradley McEvoy scored a hat-trick in Seaton Burn’s 6-1 win over Swalwell. David Hewitt jnr, Steven Maughan and Stephen Russell all got in on the act with Tony King the Swalwell target man.

Red House Farm drew 2-2 with Wideopen & District and Hexham also shared the pints with Harton & Westoe after another 2-2 draw.

Red House scorer was Robert Nolan (2) with Wideopen’s Andrew Shaw and Leigh Shickle finding the back of the net.

Liam Heenan and Darren Dobson scored for Hexham and David Graham and Shaun Edwards were the Harton hit-men.

Goals from Tom Illingworth and Lee Waugh gave New Fordley a 2-0 victory over Bedlington Terriers Reserves while Adam Gibson and Craig Colyar celebrated for Wallsend Boys club as they beat North Shields Athletic 2-1. Joe Collins fired home for Athletic.
