National League North and South campaigns declared null and void
The National League North and South have been declared null and void after the majority of clubs voted to end the current season.
Blyth Spartans are among the clubs who declared their vote to end the campaign, unwilling to take on loans after grant funding was withdrawn.
A club statement issued after the vote took place earlier this month said: “The unanimous decision of the Executive Committee at Blyth Spartans AFC is that the club will not take on loans that would burden the club for years into the future for the sake of four months of football and has voted to suspend the season and make it null and void.”
Last night, Blyth Spartans posted on Twitter: “To our management, players, officials, volunteers and fans: Thank you for your dedication and support during these incredibly difficult times.
“Stay safe & see you at a packed Croft Park next season.”
