AFTER winning 11 games in a row, New Hartley were brought back down to earth last Thursday with a 4-1 cup defeat at Ryhope.
But they bounced straight back to winning ways on Saturday with a 6-0 win over Newcastle Benfield Youth in the Northumberland FA Junior Cup semi-final win.
On Saturday, New Hartley went in front through a David Luke penalty before a towering header by Liam McNamarra put them two up.
A well worked goal saw the home side extend their lead to 3-0 before the break through a great finish fron Nathen Johnston.
The second half saw McNamarra get his second and Hartley’s fourth.
Then a great strike from Marc Heaman made it 5-0 to the home side.
With Benfield now dead and buried a goal in the last minute from Sam Norris made it six and put Hartley into the final to face Cowgate.
New Hartley were scheduled to travel to Peterlee to face league leaders Redcar in the final of the Durham County Youth Cup on Wednesday night and on Saturday head to Stockton.
