New Hartley Juniors will face champions-elect Seaham in the semi-final Lady Eden Cup after a tough 2-1 quarter-final win over a strong Hebburn outfit.
Hartley went one up on 15 minutes with a left foot strike from Paul Dunn from outside the box that eluded the Hebburn keeper.
The wind made it difficult for Hebburn to get out their own half and Hartley should have went two up only for Andy Knott to fluff an easy chance with just the keeper to beat.
The second half saw Hartley adapt to the wind and a well worked build-up saw Paddy Gibbon fire home from close range to put Hartley two up.
But Hebburn would not lie down and pulled one back through Michael Hudson with 15 minutes remaining.
Hebburn threw everything forward to look for the equaliser, but the home side managed to hang on and will play Seaham, who beat Darlington in their tie.
Hartley are at home against Seaham this Saturday in a league fixture with a 1.30pm kick-off.
