New Hartley Juniors beat holders Benfield to life the NFA Junior Cup at Blue Flames.
In awful conditions Benfield took control with the wind at their backs in the first half.
They went close when a Paul Blackett effort struck the post.
Benfield continued to push and Hartley were indebted to keeper Tom Craney, who made some superb saves.
In the 25th minute Hartley suffered a hammer blow when leading scorer Ryan McKie was forced off through injury.
However, this spurred New Hartley on, and great work by Paddy Gibbons saw his cross put away by Lewis Xiberras for the opening goal five minutes before half-time.
After the interval, New Hartley really picked up and it was no surprise when great work by Jay Wilcox saw his cross finished by Ben Sampson for 2-0.
Hartley kept up the pressure and went close on numerous occasions before great solo play by Gibbons completed the scoring.
