AFTER a 3-0 defeat at Benfield, New Hartley Juniors bounced back with a quarter-final win at Newton Aycliffe in an amazing comeback.
Aycliffe thought they were into the semi-final leading 2-0 with 89 minutes on the clock.
They took the lead on the half hour through Michael Sweet and the score remained 1-0 at half-time, despite Hartley hitting the woodwork four times in the first 45 minutes.
Five minutes into the second half Sean Axwell made it 2-0 from the penalty spot.
Hartley looked dead and buried and with 89 minutes on the clock Will Deddes netted what looked like a consolation, but seconds remaining Ryan Redford equalised.
In extra time Deddes put Hartley in front and the same player completed his hat-trick to make it 4-2 up.
Redford then made it 5-2 to see Hartley into the semis.
