Ashington have been handed a home draw against Pontefract Collieries in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup.
The tie will take place at Woodhorn Lane on Saturday, August 17.
Should the Wansbeck outfit progress then a visit to Scarborough Athletic will await them on August 31.
Further advancement would present a travel in the First Qualifying Round against Northallerton, Whitehaven, Team Northumbria or Whitley Bay in mid-September.
Ashington boss Gary Middleton, however, was guarded and refused to look ahead.
“It’s always good to get a home draw,” he said.
“We’ll be facing an unknown quantity in Pontefract Collieries and I prefer taking on opposition from another league as that from our own Northern League.
“We will make preparations for this match first and see what happens before looking ahead.”
