CHAMPIONS-elect Real Ashington are the best team by far in MB Socca Leagues this season and there is no stopping them as they turned on the style yet again at Hirst Welfare Centre last Thursday night.

With the first division title already in the bag they were too powerful for The Whipping Boys as they turned them over 4-0.

In the battle for the runners-up spot, Base FC turned up the heat as they convincingly beat second placed Station Boys 4-0 to go within one point of them.

Meanwhile Multiple Scoregasms recorded a 3-0 win.

In the second division V & N Jewellers just need three more points to clinch the title as they comprehensively defeated Red Devils 5-0.

With five games to go it is going to be nip and tuck for the runners-up trophies as second and third placed pitted their wits against each other.

Sparta were taken back by the quick attacking play of Station FC, who ran out 5-3 winners and are only two points behind Sparta with all to play for.

In the final game, Ashington All Stars had their shooting boots on as they saw off Brazilliant 5-2.

With the new leagues due to start in four weeks there are places available.
