Real seal the deal with win

THE division one title was won at Ashington’s Hirst Welfare Centre with a week still to go in the MB Socca Leagues six-a-side football competition.

Reigning champions Real Ashington won 5-1 to seal the title.

Second placed V & N Jewellers won 3-0 but are six points behind .

The final game in the top flight saw Station Boys win 6-1 against Bubbles FC.

Division two commenced with league winners Bayern Neverlusen being held to a 3-3 by runners-up Ashington All-Stars.

ACE United won 3-0 against Bankhouse while Ashalona FC beat Bedlington Top End FC 3-0.

Eleven-a-side games continue to cause problems for MB Socca Leagues on a Thursday night and teams are struggling to field a scratch team whenever they have 11-a-side commitments.

MB Socca Leagues are doing their best to accommodate everyone but are fighting a losing battle in competing with these fixtures.

The new season starts in two weeks so any teams wanting to join must call this week to make sure they are included in the new fixtures.
