Rennison hat-trick a highlight in Lane win

GARY Rennison fired a hat-trick as Woodhorn Lane Over-40s ran out convincing winners with a six-goal romp against Hartlepool Camerons on Saturday morning.

The glut began in the fourth minute when Rennison touched the ball home from close range.

Then in the 36th minute, a cross form the right wing found Oz Ramsden who headed in the second.

Three minutes later, a pass by Ramsden found debutant Karl Timlin who stroked home from the edge of the area.

Just after half-time, a 25-yard free kick by Keith Sim found Rennison who slotted in Lane’s fourth following sloppy defensive work by the home side.

On 70 minutes, a through ball from Austin Ramsden found Rennison who fired in to complete his hat-trick.

Two minutes later, following another defence splitting pass, Mark Bowman lobbed over the advancing keeper to complete the rout.
