Seaton Delaval Dynamos u14s have been shortlisted to the final six from more than 200 applicants for a Newcastle United Wonga competition.
The winning team will receive £1,000 to spend on new kit along with a visit from a Magpies first team player; a training session with the club’s coaches and a corporate hospitality box for a Premier League game.
Two runner-up teams will each receive £750 to spend on kit.
The public will vote on who they think they should win.
A spokesperson for the club said: “To be nominated by one of the parents is great, to be shortlisted from over 200 teams is an achievement in itself, but to win one of these prizes would be phenomenal for the kids.
“As we are a small village club, we need as many votes as possible for the lads to be in with a chance.”
Everyone who votes has a chance to win a signed Newcastle United shirt.

The closing date is Wednesday, January 27.
