Seasoned striker Anthony Shandran scored a hat-trick as Bedlington won an exhibition charity match at Woodhorn Lane on Sunday.
The second contest – following on from the inaugural match last season – was in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Association and in memory of Ashington stalwart Les Alderson.
The home side had taken an early lead last time but the scales were turned full circle as Shandran powered home right footed in the seventh minute.
Two goals in quick succession then put the Terriers into a commanding position.
On the half hour Shandran added his second before Ben Harmison scored from a penalty after a handling offence.
Midway through the second half Shandran completed his hat-trick, firing past Chris Barron after being put clear before substitute Wayne Rigg replied with a crisp drive from a tight angle.
Ashington chairman and MP for Wansbeck Ian Lavery presented the cup to winning skipper Mel Harmison.
