Blyth Spartans defender Ian Watson has had his registration with the club cancelled to enable him to complete a move to Darlington 1883.
Watson moved to Croft Park in August 2013, joining from Northern League club Whitley Bay.
He made his debut on the last day of the month in the home defeat to Matlock Town.
His first season at the club ended with him making 44 appearances, scoring one goal in the 6-2 hammering of Stafford Rangers at Croft Park.
Ironically Watson’s final appearance at Croft Park was against his new club as Spartans knocked the Quakers out of the FA Cup.
Four days later the defender made his final appearance in the green and white in the away draw at Stamford.
Watson is expected to be in the Darlington squad for their Evo-Stik Northern Premier League first division north fixture with Harrogate Railway on Wednesday evening.
