Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club Blyth Spartans and Radio Tyneside are forming a partnership for the new football season.
Listeners to the station’s Northsport show will be given an insight into Spartans’ weekend league and cup fixtures with match previews and half-time and full-time reports.
Their will also have interviews from the key figures at Croft Park during the week in the build up begins to the weekend fixtures.
Spartans’ media manager Phil Castiaux said: “It’s great to be working with Radio Tyneside and we are looking forward to a mutually beneficial partnership.
“We are always keen to spread the news about Blyth Spartans and this link will enable us to reach a new audience.
“Let’s just hope we have a successful season, as we did last year, so that there is lots to talk about.”
And his thoughts were echoed by Jamie Glencross, from Radio Tyneside’s Northsport team, who said: “The official link with Blyth Spartans will be a massive boost for our coverage and we’re delighted that we will be able to bring fans great, original content every week.”
The coverage will air on Northsport from 2pm to 6pm every Saturday from August 8 in numerous hospitals around the north east, including those in Northumberland, Tyneside, Wearside and County Durham.
