Station hit six as Real Ashington end on high

THE final games of the season in the MB Socca Leagues were played last Thursday on the 3G surface at Hirst Welfare Centre.

Already crowned champions of division one, Real Ashington finshed their season on a high as they beat old foes North Seaton 4-2 to complete a tremendous season for them.

Sparta Hatbreath have had a mixed season and they may find some respite as they go in to division two for next season.

With guest appearances from a Hull City professional in the close season and with two addittional players they will be looking to go straight back up.

Division two champions Station Boys had the result of the night as they destroyed Station FC 6-0 to cement their place as champions.

A step up to the top tier their next task to conquer. Whipping Boys were also promoted after they ran out 4-1 winners against Ashington All Stars.

The game between Brazilliant and A Town Rangers was a tight affair which ended up in a 0-0 draw, but with Rangers borrowing two players from the first division they conceded a two-goal start from the off.

The final game saw Doggers win a friendly 3-0 to complete an exciting night.

With the new leagues to start this week, promoters Graham and Chris are looking for new teams to start division three.

The leagues are FA affiliated and have FA qualified referees.

There are also trophies and cup competitions on offer at the end of each ‘season’
