New Hartley Juniors clocked up their third win in four games with a 5-0 success over Wearside-based Ryhope.

It was sweet revenge for Hartley as it was Ryhope that beat Hartley 1-0 in the Durham Youth Cup final in May.

It was new boy Liam Wotherspoon who put Hartley in front in the driving rain on 20 minutes, and goals from Adam Bains and Nathen Watt minutes before the break put Hartley into a healthy lead at half-time.

The rain continued in the second half as did the Hartley goals. Nik Jarvie Smith made it 4-0 and Jak Ditchburn, son of Hartley legend Tommy, rounded the scoring off with the fifth.
