Action from Blyth AFC's 3-2 win at Brandon United.

Kyle Wren’s cross deflected off Gary Day and found the bottom corner, but the striker scored at the other end to make it level at half-time.

The Braves dominated the second half, but Aaron Jackson slotted home to put the hosts back ahead with just seven minutes remaining.

Liam Gillesphey responded with a header at the other end before Stevens rifled the ball home to hand Blyth an important three points.

Just before the half-hour mark, Jack Pounder’s effort was pushed round the post by Chris Bannon, and the resulting corner led to the opener.

Wren’s cross took a big deflection off Day and the ball evaded Bannon and nestled into the net.

The Braves didn’t have long to wait for a deserved equaliser. Kris Carr made a brilliant reaction save to deny Taylor, however, the ball looped up and Day reacted the quickest and acrobatically found the back of the net.

Brandon managed to find another foothold in the match, seven minutes from time, as Wren’s cross was only half cleared. Jackson slotted under Bannon.

But the Braves drew level four minutes later as Gillesphey headed past the keeper before Stevens struck across goal and into the top corner to spark jubilant scenes among the Blyth players.
