Tyneside Amateur leaders Forest Hall YPC suffer home defeat

On a day of surprise results in the Tyneside Amateur League, Cramlington Town Reserves travelled to leaders Forest Hall YPC and inflicted their first defeat of the season by a 4-1 scoreline.

Michael Freathy scored twice for Cramlington and was joined on the sheet by Martin Humble and Jordan Lashley. Jorge Bollado netted a consolation for Forest Hall as Cramlington moved up to fourth in the table.

Ponteland United Reserves missed the chance to go top as they were beaten 2-1 at home by Jesmond, who netted their third win in an unbeaten run of four games to move up to seventh. Darren Parkes scored a fine free kick for Pont in the first half, but second half counters from Andy Mogwo and Tom Clark earned the points for Jesmond.

Wardley slip to fifth after Jamie Crosby netted the only goal for Morpeth Town Seniors, who are up to sixth after a fourth successive League win.

Newcastle Medicals claimed just their second win of the campaign, beating Monkseaton A 3-1. Adam Duckworth bagged a brace and Liam Walton also scored, with Anthony Tunmore on target for Monkseaton.

Gosforth Bohemian Reserves saw off Killingworth YPC Cobras 8-3. Pete Hall scored four times for Bohs, with Kevin Bruynson celebrating a pair, and Tavis Couling and Lewis Crane completing their tally.

Newbiggin Hall Vettic claimed their first League win at Heaton Stannington B with a 4-2 verdict. Jacob Baker and Nik Watson scored for the Stan, with Steve Cape Junior, Simon Ramel, Ryan McAvoy and Frankie McCue earning the points for Vettic.
