Webb hits five as Bedlington Social Club put nine past red Lion

In the Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League premier division, Bedlington Social Club beat visitors Red Lion Earsdon 9-1.

Social Club had a man of the match performance from Craig Webb who netted five times. Joe Moscrop and Chris Philips with two each completed the scoring while Mitch Rennie scored for Red Lion.

Division one saw Ashington Northern win 3-0 at home Marden Residents with Richard Stobbart scoring a hat-trick.

Guide Post Social Club went down at home by the odd goal in three against Newsham Victory. Barry Tate scored for Guide Post with Craig Frazer and Chris Yellowley on target for the Vic.

High Street and Whitehouse Ashington shared the points in a 2-2 draw. An Alan Goldie penalty and Connor Shields strike were the markers for High Street. Replying for Whitehouse was Michael Freathy and Richard Hall.
