Three local fighters from mixed martial arts/kickboxing club Long Zhanshi attained success at the BCCMA national SanShou championships in Milton Keynes.

Blyth brothers Martin and Adam White both returned with medals.

Martin won a bronze in the O90kg class and Adam a gold in the U85kg class.

A third winner for the club was James Grieve, of Alnwick, who won silver in the U70kg weight.

All three are coached by Shaun Gaines, who has over a decade in coaching in the area.

Adam White has been selected to train with Team GB for future internationals and is currently looking for sponsors to assist with the expenses incurred in travelling to training sessions and competitions around the world.
