A kickboxer from Blyth has secured a gold medal in the ring.

Connor Bath and his coach Adam White have only been training together for four months, but they have quickly found success as Bath returned from his first ever BCCMA Quinda (sparring) national championship with a gold medal.

And White himself won silver in the BCCMA San Shou full contact national championships, only losing out on gold to his friend and fellow team GB member Ryan Donald, who won bronze in the Europeans earlier this year.

Bath has now been invited to attend the team GB training sessions in Sussex.

The pair thanked Hybrid Kickboxing sponsors Cramlington MOT and Service Centre and Richard Greenley Joinery of Alnwick.

Anyone wishing to take up the art of Chinese kickboxing or just looking to get fit, or anyone who can help with sponsorship, should contact Adam White on 07545 485955.
