Adam picks up seven medals

CRAMLINGTON’S Adam Wilson picked up seven medals in a swimming competition held over two weekends in March.

The nine-year-old, who competes for Tynemouth Amateur Swimming Club, picked up two gold, two silver and three bronze in the Northumberland and Durham BAGcat Championships in Middlesbrough.

The Shanklea Primary School pupil also came third in the nine-year-olds’ points system, which was the first time he had competed in the competition.
