Bedlington High School have won the Blyth Bedlington School Sport Partnership Year 7’s annual netball tournament.
Five teams from four schools took part in the event, which was officiated by umpires and scorers from Bedlington High School, who had recently completed the England Netball Youth Umpire Award.
They put their umpiring skills to the test and did a fantastic job.
All teams played each other, with Bedlington High coming out on top having won all four games during the afternoon.
The runners-up were Meadowdale Academy, and the other teams competing were Blyth Academy, St Benet Biscop and a Meadowdale second team.
The event was attended by Vicky Atkinson, netball development officer for Northumberland, who presented the certificates and trophy.
