BLYTH RFC Under-17s were beaten by a strong Blaydon side 45-7.
Blaydon quickly settled and scored two tries to make it 12-0 inside five minutes.
Blyth were slow on the restarts and found themselves 24-0 down on 20 minutes.
They then seemed to get there game plan on the move and put Blaydon under a lot of pressure to no avail.
After a half-time team talk Blyth came out in the second half determined and man of the match Conner Bath never gave up the fight and contested every thing around the park.
Blyth were rewarded with a try by Sean Dowling converted by Cori McCardle to make it 31-7. They continued to press but with injuries to Shaun Robinson and Josh Ramsey, two late tries made it 45-7.
On Sunday Blyth play Bishop Auckland.
